The four-level integration status model
Why we publish an explicit status for every system, and what each level does and does not claim.
Robotics buyers are routinely shown a wall of manufacturer logos with no indication of what the vendor has actually done with any of them. The logo wall is the single most common way integration claims get inflated.
HumanForm Labs assigns every system in its catalog one of four states. Production validated means the system is connected and operating at a customer site. Lab validated means we have connected and tested it ourselves, outside production. Partner enabled means a formal commercial route exists but the integration is pending or customer-specific. Research only means we have done market research and nothing more.
The default view of the Supported Systems matrix shows Production and Lab entries only. Partner-enabled and Research entries are behind a toggle, and Research entries carry a disclaimer on every surface where they appear.
Each entry carries an evidence date, an owner, and a revalidation date. A status without a date is a claim without a shelf life, and integration claims go stale as firmware and APIs change.
Today HumanForm Labs has no Production validated entries. The honest consequence is that the default matrix view is largely empty, and we would rather ship an empty matrix than a misleading one.
